Great Day and Successful Event for Remember The One

Great Day and Successful Event for Remember The One

It was a great day and event for Remember The One on May 9th! The organization started in late September of 2010 by local residents Kip and Angie Dominy, held it 2nd Annual Remember The One Celebrity Golf Tournament and this year included its 1st Remember The One Ladies Luncheon. The event, which took place at The Georgia Club, was a fundraiser to support the Remember The One organization and the work it is doing. The weather could not have been more perftect and the Golf Tournament had many of our local sports celebrities on hand to play and offer support during the day. Twenty-four teams of four made up of many local business sponsors played in the 18-hold scramble. The Ladies Luncheon featured lunch and dessert by The Georgia Club, a silent auction, and guest speaker Sandra Stanley, wife of Andy Stanley of North Point Ministries. There were approximately 130 women in attendance and guests left with warm hearts and inspiration in speeches delivered by both Remember The One and Sandra Stanley. Remember The One is a website-based community which makes any “one’s” life easier by allowing them to set up a Journey Page, a free resource. This journey page gives users the ability to post status updates, maintain their personal calendar, post documents, and allow easy communication to family and friends. The journey can be related to health, spiritual, or life issue. Unique to the website is the ability to post journeys in a secure environment, invite others to share privately or share publicly and connect other users with similar journeys. Over the past 12 months, Remember The One.org has over 13,000 visitors of which close to 600 have created an account and over 30 have started a new journey page.
